
Assistant Clinical Manager - Surgical ICU

- Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to set and maintain high standards for patient care within the Surgical ICU unit.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the unit, including staffing and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and guidelines, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Train, mentor, and support staff members in providing quality care to patients.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement any necessary changes to improve care delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Assist with budget and resource management for the unit.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient care for patients.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Remain up-to-date on advancements in critical care and implement evidence-based practices in the unit.
- Act as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and ethical behavior.
- Handle any issues or conflicts within the unit and escalate to the Clinical Manager as needed.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff by enforcing safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives for the unit and the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and workflows to enhance patient care and efficiency.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and committees related to the unit and organization.
- Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, and management to facilitate effective communication and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and updated records and reports related to the unit's operations and patient care.
- Adhere to and promote the organization's mission, values, and code of conduct.
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Michigan.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Setting.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With Experience In Supervising And Managing A Team.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Clinical Practices And Regulations Within The Surgical Icu Specialty.
