We are currently seeking an Assistant Clinical Manager for our Surgical ICU unit.   1. Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to set and maintain high standards for patient care within the Surgical ICU unit.
  2. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the unit, including staffing and scheduling.
  3. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and guidelines, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  4. Train, mentor, and support staff members in providing quality care to patients.
  5. Monitor patient outcomes and implement any necessary changes to improve care delivery.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  7. Assist with budget and resource management for the unit.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient care for patients.
  9. Participate in performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  10. Remain up-to-date on advancements in critical care and implement evidence-based practices in the unit.
  11. Act as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and ethical behavior.
  12. Handle any issues or conflicts within the unit and escalate to the Clinical Manager as needed.
  13. Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff by enforcing safety protocols and infection control measures.
  14. Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives for the unit and the organization.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and workflows to enhance patient care and efficiency.
  16. Attend and actively participate in meetings and committees related to the unit and organization.
  17. Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, and management to facilitate effective communication and address any concerns.
  18. Maintain accurate and updated records and reports related to the unit's operations and patient care.
  19. Adhere to and promote the organization's mission, values, and code of conduct.
  20. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Michigan.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With Experience In Supervising And Managing A Team.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Clinical Practices And Regulations Within The Surgical Icu Specialty.
