Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Candidate For An Anesthesiologist-Icu Position At Henry Ford Health System Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Is Typically A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathy (Do).

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Certified By The American Board Of Anesthesiology (Aba) In Anesthesiology. This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Of The Aba And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Practice As An Anesthesiologist.

  • Residency Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A Residency Program In Anesthesiology Accredited By The Accreditation Council For Graduate Medical Education (Acgme). This Typically Involves 4 Years Of Training After Medical School.

  • Critical Care Experience: Given The Nature Of The Position, Candidates Must Have Experience In Critical Care Medicine, Specifically In An Icu Setting. This Experience May Be Gained Through A Critical Care Fellowship Or Through Previous Work Experience In A Critical Care Unit.
