Medical Degree: A Candidate Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Residency Training: Completion Of An Accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program Is Necessary To Obtain A License To Practice As An Anesthesiologist.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified By The American Board Of Anesthesiology (Aba) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Anesthesiology (Aoba).
State License: A Valid Medical License In The State Where The Position Is Located Is Required For An Anesthesiologist To Practice.
Experience: Prior Experience In Anesthesiology Is Preferred, Although Recent Graduates From Residency Programs Will Also Be Considered. Additional Experience In A Specific Anesthesia Subspecialty, Such As Pediatric Or Cardiac Anesthesia, May Be Required For Certain Positions.
