- Oversee and manage all aspects of the accreditation process for Henry Ford Health System, including maintaining current accreditations and pursuing new accreditations as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure all necessary documentation and evidence is collected and maintained for accreditation purposes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on accreditation standards and provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor changes in accreditation standards and regulations and proactively make recommendations for necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Coordinate site visits and inspections from accrediting bodies and serve as the main point of contact for all accreditation-related inquiries.
- Prepare and submit reports and documentation to accrediting bodies as required.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends related to accreditation and quality improvement in healthcare.
- Assist with the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all accreditation activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that accreditation requirements are integrated into daily operations.
- Communicate and collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance with all accreditation standards.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and other activities related to accreditation and quality improvement.
- Identify and escalate any potential issues or compliance concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to maintain the highest level of quality standards in healthcare.
- Act as a representative of Henry Ford Health System in all accreditation-related matters, promoting a positive image and reputation of the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to accreditation activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Accreditation, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Accreditation Standards And Regulations, Such As The Joint Commission, Cms, And State Licensing Requirements.
Strong Project Management Skills And The Ability To Lead And Coordinate Teams Effectively.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Departments And External Organizations.
