We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Visuals Editor to join our team and oversee our archive and licensing operations.   1. Manage the archive and licensing operations: The Visuals Editor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's archive and licensing operations. This includes organizing and maintaining the archive, ensuring proper licensing agreements are in place, and managing the workflow for requesting and acquiring visual assets.
  2. Ensure compliance with copyright laws and licensing agreements: The Visuals Editor will be responsible for staying up-to-date on copyright laws and ensuring that all licensing agreements are properly adhered to. This includes obtaining necessary permissions and releases for copyrighted material and ensuring proper credit is given for all visual assets used.
  3. Collaborate with editorial teams: The Visuals Editor will work closely with editorial teams to understand their visual needs and provide them with the appropriate assets from the archive. They will also collaborate with the creative team to ensure visuals are aligned with the overall visual aesthetic of the company's publications.
  4. Curate and organize visual assets: The Visuals Editor will be responsible for curating and organizing the company's visual assets to ensure they are easily accessible and searchable. This includes tagging and categorizing images, videos, and other visual content.
  5. Manage the budget for visual assets: The Visuals Editor will work closely with the Finance department to manage the budget for visual assets, including negotiating licensing fees and finding cost-effective solutions for acquiring visual content.
  6. Train and mentor team members: The Visuals Editor may be responsible for training and mentoring team members, such as photo editors and assistants, to ensure they understand the company's visual standards and processes.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends: The Visuals Editor will stay informed about industry trends in visual storytelling and incorporate them into the company's visual strategy. They will also stay updated on new technologies and tools that can enhance the company's visual content.
  8. Quality control: The Visuals Editor will conduct quality control checks on all visual assets to ensure they meet the company's standards for resolution, image quality, and copyright compliance.
