Job Description

Hearst Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Benefits Administration to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital role in overseeing the administration of employee benefit programs and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.   1. Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits offered by the company.
  2. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of the company's benefit plans.
  4. Act as a subject matter expert on all benefit-related matters and provide guidance and support to employees and management.
  5. Partner with external vendors to negotiate and manage benefit contracts and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  6. Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  7. Monitor industry trends and developments to recommend new or improved benefits offerings.
  8. Develop and maintain benefit communication materials to educate employees on available benefits and enhance their understanding of the programs.
  9. Manage the annual open enrollment process, including coordinating communications, conducting employee presentations, and addressing employee inquiries.
  10. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee benefits data.
  11. Provide support and guidance to employees on benefit-related inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  12. Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures related to benefits administration.
  13. Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations related to employee benefits and proactively make necessary updates to company policies and procedures.
  14. Lead and manage a team of benefits administrators, providing coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  15. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and legal, to ensure compliance and consistency across all benefit-related processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Benefits Administration, Preferably In A Corporate Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Employee Benefits.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Team.

  • Experience With Hris And Benefits Administration Software.
