We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate individual with a keen eye for design and strong writing skills to join our team. If you have a love for all things home and interior design, and are eager to contribute your skills to a leading media company, we want you!

  1. Conduct thorough research on interior design and home trends to generate fresh and engaging content for Elle Decor.
  2. Write and edit articles, features, and other content for print and digital platforms, ensuring they align with the overall tone and style of the publication.
  3. Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and pitch ideas for upcoming issues and special projects.
  4. Work closely with the art and design team to ensure that visual elements complement the written content.
  5. Develop relationships with industry experts, designers, and other relevant sources to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and news in the home and interior design world.
  6. Fact-check all written content to ensure accuracy and credibility.
  7. Monitor and analyze audience engagement and feedback to continuously improve and refine content.
  8. Assist in managing social media accounts and engaging with readers to promote and increase the reach of Elle Decor.
  9. Attend industry events, trade shows, and product launches to generate new content ideas and build relationships with key players in the design industry.
  10. Meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  11. Adhere to the company's style guide and maintain consistency in tone and voice across all content.
  12. Stay informed of competitors' content and make recommendations for staying ahead of industry trends.
  13. Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as marketing and sales, to promote and market Elle Decor and its content.
  14. Assist in training and mentoring junior editorial staff.
  15. Embody the company's values and represent Hearst Corporation professionally at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably At A Fashion Or Lifestyle Publication.

  • Excellent Writing And Editing Skills, With A Strong Attention To Detail And Knowledge Of Ap Style.

  • Familiarity With Digital Publishing Platforms And Social Media.

  • A Passion For Interior Design, Home Decor, And Fashion, With A Strong Understanding Of Current Trends And Industry Influencers.
