  1. Coordinate and assign news stories to reporters, photographers, and producers based on priority, timeliness, and relevance.
  2. Monitor multiple news sources, including social media, to identify and track breaking news and events.
  3. Work closely with news team to develop and maintain a comprehensive news coverage plan.
  4. Communicate effectively with reporters and producers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of news stories.
  5. Manage and update newsroom assignments and schedules.
  6. Collaborate with producers to develop story ideas and angles for news coverage.
  7. Conduct research and fact-checking for news stories.
  8. Ensure that all content meets journalistic standards and follows company policies and guidelines.
  9. Monitor news coverage and provide updates on developing stories to news team.
  10. Stay current with local and national news trends and topics.
  11. Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that may arise during the news production process.
  13. Maintain relationships with external sources and contacts for potential news stories.
  14. Assist in coordinating logistics for news coverage, such as travel arrangements and equipment needs.
  15. Uphold company values of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of job responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In A Newsroom Or Production Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills.
