- Manage and update newsroom assignments and schedules.
- Collaborate with producers to develop story ideas and angles for news coverage.
- Conduct research and fact-checking for news stories.
- Ensure that all content meets journalistic standards and follows company policies and guidelines.
- Monitor news coverage and provide updates on developing stories to news team.
- Stay current with local and national news trends and topics.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that may arise during the news production process.
- Maintain relationships with external sources and contacts for potential news stories.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for news coverage, such as travel arrangements and equipment needs.
- Uphold company values of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of job responsibilities.
Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In A Newsroom Or Production Environment.
Strong Editorial Judgment And Ability To Make Quick Decisions Under Pressure.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills.
