As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by providing high quality ultrasound images.   1. Perform high quality and accurate ultrasound imaging procedures on patients in a timely manner.
  2. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  3. Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain proper settings to produce clear and precise images.
  4. Assist in the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of images.
  6. Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain accurate and organized patient records.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, and implement new procedures as needed.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care by demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism at all times.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the ultrasound department.
  12. Adhere to all HCA Healthcare policies and procedures, including but not limited to, HIPAA and infection control guidelines.
  13. Continuously strive to improve technical skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training opportunities.
  14. Serve as a positive and professional representative of HCA Healthcare, promoting our mission to care for and improve human life.

Job Qualifications
  • Accredited Education: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field From An Accredited Program Is Required.

  • Certification: Must Be Registered Or Eligible For Registration By The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Performing Ultrasound Procedures In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating Ultrasound Equipment And Utilizing Various Imaging Modalities, Such As Abdominal, Obstetrical, And Vascular, Is Required. Knowledge Of Pacs Systems And Electronic Medical Records Is Also Beneficial.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Must Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team-Oriented Environment.
