- Develop and implement educational programs and training for the nursing staff in the Emergency Trauma department.
- Assess the learning needs of the nursing staff and create individualized plans for professional development.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to new nurses, including orientation to the unit and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the nurse managers and other healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in emergency trauma nursing and incorporate them into educational programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for the nursing staff, providing support and guidance in complex patient situations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to emergency trauma care.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department.
- Maintain accurate records of education and training activities for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including nursing staff, management, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to nursing education and training.
- Participate in department and hospital committees and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Act as a patient advocate and role model for the nursing staff, promoting a patient-centered approach to care.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the delivery of educational programs to ensure they meet the needs of the nursing staff and align with the goals and objectives of the organization.
Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Employment.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Trauma Nursing.
Board Certification In Emergency Nursing (Cen) Preferred.
Previous Experience In Teaching, Curriculum Development, And/Or Staff Education.
