- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the radiology department with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Transport patients to and from various locations within the radiology department, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and imaging machines.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and properly positioned during transport, taking into consideration any physical limitations or medical equipment they may have.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and their caregivers to explain the transport process and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to protect the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transport activities, including documenting any delays, incidents, or other important information.
- Collaborate with other members of the radiology team to ensure a smooth and timely flow of patients through the department.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Radiology Patient Transporter At Hca Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Its Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Academic Subjects And Is Capable Of Performing Job Duties That May Require Basic Knowledge And Skills.
Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls): Hca Healthcare Requires All Radiology Patient Transporters To Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Trained In Emergency Response And Can Provide Cpr And First Aid In Case Of An Emergency.
Experience In Patient Transport Or Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting Or In Patient Transport Is Preferred For This Position. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Familiarity With Hospital Procedures, And Ability To Handle Patient Needs With Sensitivity And Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Radiology Patient Transporter Must Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Members Of The Healthcare Team.
