6. Review and approve utilization management and discharge planning decisions to optimize resource utilization and patient outcomes.
7. Serve as a resource for medical staff regarding complex or difficult cases and provide guidance on appropriate treatment plans.
8. Oversee and participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer review activities and performance improvement projects.
9. Stay updated on current healthcare regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
10. Lead and mentor a team of physician advisors and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
11. Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner in interactions with patients, families, and community members.
12. Act as a liaison between medical staff and administration to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
13. Attend and participate in relevant meetings and committees to provide clinical expertise and guidance.
14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall quality of patient care.
