  1. Perform blood sample collections from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of collected blood samples.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure patient safety and compliance with infection control protocols.
  4. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, making them feel comfortable and at ease during the phlebotomy process.
  5. Follow all established protocols and procedures for collecting and handling blood samples.
  6. Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of collected samples.
  7. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns regarding the phlebotomy process in a professional and courteous manner.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the proper collection and processing of blood samples.
  9. Keep abreast of current developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
  10. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations when handling patient information.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all phlebotomy procedures performed.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain phlebotomy certification and improve skills.
  13. Assist with inventory management and ordering of phlebotomy supplies.
  14. Adhere to HCA Healthcare's mission and values in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification Or License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification Or License As A Phlebotomist From A Recognized Institution Or Governing Body.

  • Experience: Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Be Familiar With Various Laboratory Tests And Procedures.

  • Attention To Detail: Phlebotomists Are Responsible For Collecting And Handling Blood Samples, So They Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Follow Proper Procedures For Handling And Storing Samples.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Phlebotomist, The Candidate Will Interact With Patients, Doctors, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis, So Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
