Job Description

At HCA Healthcare, our Patient Care Technicians are an integral part of our patient care team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing the highest quality of care for our patients and who are committed to excellence. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with patient care activities, including vital signs, patient transfers, and activities of daily living.The ideal candidate for this role is a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional who is a team player and has strong clinical and communication skills. To be successful in this role, you must also have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid certification from an accredited Patient Care Technician program, and at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.If you have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with patient care activities such as taking vital signs, patient transfers, and activities of daily living.
  2. Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassionate care for all patients.
  3. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and progress.
  4. Follow safety protocols and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  5. Assist with medical equipment maintenance, sterilization, and cleaning.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Participate in continuing education programs and stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare trends.
  8. Provide emotional and physical support to patients and families.
  9. Monitor patient conditions and report any changes in condition to healthcare team members.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the care plans for each patient.
