  1. Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
  2. Notify medical staff of any abnormalities or changes in patients' conditions.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' vital signs and any interventions taken.
  4. Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings.
  5. Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients' families regarding any changes in patients' conditions.
  6. Monitor and report any potential equipment malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
  7. Follow established protocols and procedures for monitoring patients and responding to emergencies.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible patient care.
  10. Attend trainings and stay updated on new technologies and procedures related to monitoring patients.
  11. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  13. Keep work area clean and organized.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or medical staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Cardiac Monitoring: Monitor Technicians At Hca Healthcare Should Have Experience In Monitoring Cardiac Rhythms, Identifying Abnormalities, And Responding Appropriately To Changes In A Patient's Condition.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Monitor Technician To Accurately Interpret And Document Patient Information In Medical Records.

  • Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls): Hca Healthcare Requires Monitor Technicians To Hold A Valid Bls Certification In Order To Respond Quickly And Effectively In Emergency Situations.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Monitor Technician, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Accurately Record And Report Patient Data.
