HCA Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Medical Staff Services Coordinator.   1. Coordinate and maintain all aspects of medical staff services including credentialing, privileging, and reappointment processes.
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to medical staff services.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with medical staff members, hospital leadership, and external organizations.
  4. Facilitate communication and collaboration between medical staff and hospital departments.
  5. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases for all medical staff members.
  6. Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical staff services.
  7. Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of medical staff records and compliance with regulations.
  8. Coordinate and schedule medical staff meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas and minutes.
  9. Provide administrative support to medical staff committees and assist with the preparation and distribution of meeting materials.
  10. Conduct orientation and training for new medical staff members on medical staff policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and timely completion of medical staff tasks.
  12. Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to medical staff services in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations and accreditation standards related to medical staff services.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of all medical staff information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or hospital leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Certified Professional In Medical Services Management (Cpmsm) And/Or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (Cpcs) Certification Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Medical Staff Services Or Credentialing In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably Within A Hospital Or Healthcare System.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Staff Bylaws, Regulations, And Accreditation Standards, Including The Joint Commission (Tjc) And The National Committee For Quality Assurance (Ncqa).

  • Excellent Organizational, Communication, And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Physicians, Hospital Leadership, And External Stakeholders.
