- Develop and implement patient access strategies and processes that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the patient access department, including scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve the overall patient experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients, to ensure smooth and efficient patient access.
- Lead and mentor a team of patient access staff, providing ongoing training and development to ensure high-quality and consistent performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to patient access and implement changes as needed to stay competitive and meet patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including HIPAA, to protect patient privacy and maintain data integrity.
- Manage department budget and resources effectively, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-control measures.
- Serve as a point of escalation for any patient access issues or concerns, and work to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within Patient Access Or Healthcare Operations.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Processes And Regulations.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Developing A Team.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Various Stakeholders.
