  1. Manage and oversee the coding and CDI audit programs for all inpatient facilities within HCA Healthcare.
  2. Ensure accuracy and compliance with all coding and CDI standards and regulations.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve coding and CDI processes and outcomes.
  4. Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  5. Train and educate coding and CDI staff on best practices and updates in coding guidelines.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of coding and CDI efforts.
  7. Monitor coding and CDI metrics and performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in coding and CDI practices to ensure HCA Healthcare's programs remain current and effective.
  9. Communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any coding or CDI discrepancies.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to coding and CDI.
  11. Provide guidance and support to coding and CDI staff to promote professional growth and development.
  12. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all coding and CDI audit activities.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all members of the healthcare team.
  14. Attend meetings and conferences related to coding and CDI to stay informed and share knowledge with the team.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification

  • Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Inpatient Coding And Clinical Documentation Improvement (Cdi)

  • Previous Management Or Supervisory Experience In A Healthcare Setting

  • Strong Understanding Of Icd-10 Coding Guidelines And Drg Assignment

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Train A Team Of Coders And Cdi Specialists.
