  1. Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures for the organization.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential sources of infection and recommend solutions.
  3. Collaborate with various departments, including nursing, environmental services, and facilities, to ensure infection prevention practices are followed.
  4. Provide education and training to staff on proper infection control protocols and techniques.
  5. Monitor and investigate any healthcare-associated infections and develop plans to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current infection control guidelines and regulations from regulatory agencies.
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of outbreak response plans.
  8. Conduct surveillance activities to identify and track infections and report findings to appropriate stakeholders.
  9. Work with the healthcare team to develop and implement infection control protocols for high-risk patients.
  10. Collaborate with local and state health departments on infection control initiatives and reporting requirements.
  11. Serve as a resource for infection control information and guidance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control.
  13. Maintain accurate and thorough records of infection control activities and outcomes.
  14. Attend and actively participate in infection control committee meetings.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve infection control processes and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or A Related Field

  • Certification In Infection Prevention And Control (Cic)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Infection Prevention And Control In A Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Infection Control And Prevention

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Healthcare Providers And Staff To Implement Infection Control Policies And Procedures.
