Job Description

At HCA Healthcare, we are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist with a passion for providing outstanding patient care. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence, a deep understanding of the complexities of managing patient medications, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.The successful Clinical Pharmacist will bring a breadth of knowledge and experience in managing patient medications, including formulary management, clinical drug review, medication reconciliation, and medication order review. The ability to develop and foster relationships with physicians and other healthcare staff is essential.We are looking for an individual with a PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, current licensure as a registered pharmacist in the state of practice, and at least two years of recent clinical pharmacy experience in an acute care hospital setting. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are also required.

Responsibilities of a Clinical Pharmacist:

  1. Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Manage patient medications, including formulary management, clinical drug review, medication reconciliation, and medication order review.
  3. Develop and foster relationships with physicians and other healthcare staff.
  4. Ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  5. Provide appropriate medication advice and education to patients and healthcare staff.
  6. Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as necessary.
  7. Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care.
  8. Prepare and dispense medications accurately.
  9. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  10. Participate in team meetings and other activities to ensure quality of care and patient safety.
