  1. Accurately document and report cancer data in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.

  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain necessary information and ensure completeness of cancer data.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Tumor Registrar (Ctr) Certification: This Is A Mandatory Requirement For All Certified Tumor Registrar Jobs At Hca Healthcare. The Candidate Must Have A Current Ctr Certification From The National Cancer Registrars Association (Ncra).

  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field: Hca Healthcare Requires All Certified Tumor Registrars To Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or A Related Field. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Healthcare Data Management And Cancer Registry Operations.

  • Knowledge Of Cancer Registry Standards: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Various Standards And Guidelines Set By The Ncra And The Commission On Cancer (Coc). This Includes Knowledge Of Icd-O Coding, Ajcc Staging, And Data Collection And Reporting Requirements.

  • Experience With Cancer Registry Software: Hca Healthcare Prefers Candidates With Experience In Using Cancer Registry Software, Such As Metriq Or Elekta Mosaiq. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Electronic Data Management Systems Used In Cancer Registry Operations.

  • Strong Analytical And Communication Skills: As A Certified Tumor Registrar, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Analyzing And Reporting Cancer Data To Various Stakeholders, Including Physicians, Researchers, And Government Agencies. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role At Hca Healthcare.
