- Collaborate with the occupational therapist to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct care and treatment to patients as outlined in their treatment plan.
- Observe and document patient progress and communicate any changes to the occupational therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises to promote continued progress and independence.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
- Continuously assess and modify treatment plans to meet the changing needs of patients.
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in occupational therapy to continuously improve patient care.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and patience in working with patients and their families.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the facility and state licensing board.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary care and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the facility and HCA Healthcare in a positive light.
- Comply with all facility and regulatory standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution
Current State License As A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Healthcare Or Rehabilitation Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Occupational Therapy Techniques And Treatments
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team Environment.
