Welcome to the Hakuta Family Nam June Paik Curatorial Fellowship at Harvard University!   1. Research and Curate: Conduct extensive research on Nam June Paik's life and work, including his artistic process and influences. Use this research to assist in the curation of exhibitions and events related to Paik's art and legacy.
  2. Assist in Exhibition Planning: Collaborate with the curatorial team to plan and organize exhibitions and events related to Paik's work. This may include coordinating with other departments and institutions, arranging loans of artwork, and creating exhibition materials.
  3. Preserve Artistic Legacy: Work closely with the preservation team to ensure the proper handling and care of Nam June Paik's artwork, including monitoring environmental conditions, managing conservation efforts, and assisting with documentation and inventory.
  4. Communicate with Stakeholders: Maintain open communication with the Hakuta family, Harvard University, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of ongoing projects and initiatives related to the Paik Fellowship.
  5. Develop Programming: Assist in the development and implementation of public programming related to Nam June Paik's art and legacy. This may include lectures, workshops, and other educational events.
  6. Support Fundraising Efforts: Collaborate with the development team to secure funding for the Paik Fellowship and related projects. This may include researching potential donors, writing grant proposals, and assisting with fundraising events.

  10. Represent the Fellowship: Act as a representative of the Hakuta Family Nam June Paik Curatorial Fellowship at Harvard University,

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Or Higher In Art History, Museum Studies, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Curatorial Work, Preferably In A Museum Or Gallery Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Contemporary Art, With A Focus On Video And New Media.

  • Excellent Research, Writing, And Communication Skills, With A Strong Ability To Present Complex Ideas To Diverse Audiences.

  • Experience With Organizing And Managing Exhibitions, Including Budgeting, Logistics, And Collaboration With Artists And Other Stakeholders.
