  1. Manage and oversee the financial operations of the university's research initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university and federal regulations.
  3. Collaborate with faculty and research staff to provide financial guidance and support for their projects, including grant proposal preparation and post-award management.
  4. Monitor and analyze research expenditures and revenue streams to identify areas for cost savings and revenue generation.
  5. Work closely with other university departments, such as sponsored programs and accounting, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  6. Serve as a liaison between the university and external funding agencies, providing financial oversight and compliance for sponsored projects.
  7. Lead and mentor a team of finance and research administration professionals to ensure high-quality support for faculty and research initiatives.
  8. Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to finance and research administration, and make recommendations for process improvements and policy updates.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and funding agencies.
  10. Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
  11. Represent the university at conferences and events related to finance and research administration.
  12. Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the finance and research administration team.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field From A Reputable University.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Management And Research Administration In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Federal And Private Grant Regulations, Compliance, And Reporting Requirements.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Financial Strategies And Systems.

  • Demonstrated Leadership And Management Experience, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Teams And Stakeholders.
