Job Description

As a Gemologist at Harry Winston, you will be an integral part of our world-renowned jewelry business. You will be responsible for authenticating, grading, and appraising precious gemstones and diamonds for our clients. Your expertise and knowledge of gemology will be invaluable as we continue to build our reputation for providing the finest quality gems and jewelry.To be successful in this role, you should have an in-depth knowledge of gemology and diamond grading, as well as a keen eye for detail. You should also possess outstanding communication and customer service skills. A degree or diploma in gemology is essential, as is experience in appraising gemstones and diamonds. Responsibilities:

  1. Authenticate, grade and appraise precious gemstones and diamonds for clients.
  2. Utilize in-depth knowledge of gemology and diamond grading.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
  4. Maintain comprehensive understanding of the luxury jewelry market.
  5. Keep up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the jewelry industry.
  6. Ensure that all gemstones and diamonds meet quality standards.
  7. Follow established safety protocols when handling gemstones and diamonds.
  8. Provide accurate appraisals and documentation for clients.
  9. Assist in stocking, organizing and displaying jewelry products.
  10. Answer questions from customers and provide advice and recommendations.
