Responsibilities:

1. Identify, appraise and catalogue gemstones according to established standards.
2. Evaluate the quality and value of gems and advise clients on gem selection.
3. Utilize modern gemological equipment and techniques to accurately identify gemstones.
4. Research gemstones to determine the origin, value and authenticity.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with jewelry industry suppliers.
6. Prepare detailed gemological reports.
7. Lead diamond grading and certification sessions.
8. Provide technical advice and support to sales and marketing teams.
9. Stay current on industry trends and developments.
10. Assist with the development of new jewellery designs and products.
