  1. Lead and manage the operations of the store to ensure a positive and memorable experience for our customers and team members.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase profitability, and exceed performance goals.
  3. Create a culture of exceptional customer service by setting an example for team members and fostering a customer-centric mindset.
  4. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and providing ongoing feedback.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability of products and minimize waste.
  6. Oversee the execution of merchandising plans to ensure attractive and organized store displays.
  7. Collaborate with other store leaders and corporate teams to share best practices, implement company initiatives, and achieve company goals.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  9. Manage and control store expenses to maximize profitability.
  10. Represent H-E-B in the local community by building relationships, participating in community events, and supporting charitable initiatives.
  11. Continuously evaluate store performance and make adjustments as needed to meet or exceed financial and operational objectives.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and recognition of team members' contributions.
  14. Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Uphold the H-E-B brand and values in all interactions with customers, team members, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Management Experience: A Store Leader At H-E-B Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably In The Grocery Industry. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team, Overseeing Operations, And Driving Sales.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Store Leader Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Inspire A Team, Make Tough Decisions, And Effectively Communicate With Both Employees And Upper Management.

  • Outstanding Customer Service: H-E-B Prides Itself On Providing Exceptional Customer Service, And A Store Leader Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Top-Notch Customer Service. This Includes Resolving Customer Complaints, Developing And Implementing Customer Service Strategies, And Creating A Positive Shopping Experience For Customers.

  • Business Acumen: In Addition To Managing Daily Operations, A Store Leader Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Business Principles And Be Able To Analyze Financial Data, Create Budgets, And Make Strategic Decisions To Drive Store Performance.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Retail Industry Is Constantly Evolving, And A Store Leader Should Be Able To Adapt To Changes Quickly And Efficiently. This Includes Being Able To Handle Unexpected Situations, Adjust To New Processes And Procedures, And Effectively Manage A Dynamic Team.
