- Provide exceptional customer service to our pharmacy customers.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing and preparing medication orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all pharmacy operations.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing medications.
- Communicate effectively with customers, healthcare providers, and other team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on new medications, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns with medication orders or customer inquiries.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure the wellbeing of customers and team members.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
- Assist with training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and provide suggestions for enhancing the customer experience.
High School Diploma Or Ged: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Pharmacy Technician At H-E-B Is A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math, Science, And Language Skills Necessary For The Job.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: H-E-B Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Pharmacy Technician Training Program And Obtained Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Experience In A Pharmacy Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Pharmacy, Either As A Pharmacy Technician Or In A Similar Role, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. It Shows That The Candidate Has A Good Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations And Is Familiar With Common Medications And Procedures.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician At H-E-B, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Handle Customer Inquiries And Concerns Professionally And With Empathy.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations: H-E-B Follows Strict Laws And Regulations When It Comes To Dispensing Medications. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of State And Federal Pharmacy Laws And Regulations. This Includes Knowledge Of Controlled Substance Laws, Hipaa, And Other Relevant Regulations.
