1. Assist pharmacists in accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions for patients.
2. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and accuracy of all medications.
4. Enter patient and prescription information into the computer system accurately and efficiently.
5. Prepare and package medications for dispensing to patients.
6. Restock medication shelves and maintain inventory levels.
7. Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims.
8. Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to verify prescription information.
9. Provide excellent customer service and address any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
10. Follow all state and federal laws and regulations regarding the handling and dispensing of medications.
11. Attend and participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on new medications and procedures.
12. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
13. Collaborate with other pharmacy team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
14. Assist in the maintenance of pharmacy equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
15. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline pharmacy processes to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction.
16. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
