1. Assist pharmacists in accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions for customers.
2. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
3. Answer customer questions and provide information about medications, dosage instructions, and potential side effects.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with all safety and sanitation standards.
5. Handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
6. Accurately input and maintain customer and prescription information in the pharmacy computer system.
7. Prepare medications for dispensing, including counting, measuring, and labeling.
8. Assist in inventory management by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
9. Collaborate with other pharmacy team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
10. Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding the handling, storage, and disposal of medications.
11. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of pharmacy products, services, and policies.
12. Participate in ongoing training and education programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
13. Assist with administrative tasks, such as processing insurance claims and maintaining customer records.
14. Identify and report any potential or actual errors or discrepancies in medication orders or inventory.
15. Maintain confidentiality of all customer information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
16. Foster positive relationships with customers by addressing their concerns and resolving any issues that may arise.
17. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by communicating effectively and collaborating with colleagues.
18. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
