Experience In Perishable Goods: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Perishable Products, Including Produce, Meat, And Dairy Items. This Could Include Previous Work Experience In A Grocery Store, Restaurant, Or Food Production Facility.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: The Perishables Representative Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Perishable Products Are Handled, Stored, And Displayed In A Safe And Sanitary Manner. This Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations And Procedures.
Customer Service Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Customers In The Perishables Department, The Representative Must Have Excellent Customer Service Skills. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Effectively, Address Customer Concerns, And Provide Recommendations And Assistance To Shoppers.
Physical Stamina: Working In The Perishables Department Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Items, Stand For Extended Periods Of Time, And Work In Temperature-Controlled Environments.
Attention To Detail: Perishable Products Must Be Carefully Checked For Freshness And Quality, And The Representative Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Products Meet H-E-B's Standards.
