Mechanical Engineer

Ensures work is done to meet all applicable codes in accordance with international and local regulatory requirements. Participates in an information-sharing forum with H-E-B consulting engineers. Works with Real Estate on site locations. Maintains civil / site design standards, including water quality / re-irrigation utility infrastructure, mass grading, retaining walls, landscape, offsite roadway improvements, parking lots, impact fees. Analyzes construction costs for civil works. Checks construction documents for completeness / correctness. Serves as a liaison to Real Estate; reviews lease contracts, easements. Determines / maintains H-E-B sustainability standards, including coordination of LEED submittals and communication to others. Assists in establishing maintenance standards. Works day-to-day with consulting engineers. Assists design architects with questions and concepts.
