Loss Prevention Specialist

At H-E-B, our Loss Prevention Specialists are an essential part of our team, tasked with protecting our customers, our stores, and our investments. We are looking for a highly organized and responsible individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong commitment to customer service.The successful candidate should have at least a high school diploma or GED, preferably supplemented by coursework in criminal justice or a related field. Previous experience in a Loss Prevention role is preferred, but not required. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is also a must. Experience using security systems and surveillance equipment is a plus.We’re looking for someone who is passionate about safety and security and can think on their feet. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and investigate suspicious activity in the store and take appropriate action.
2. Monitor store surveillance equipment and provide feedback to management.
3. Patrol store premises to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
4. Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
5. Educate store staff on safety and security policies and procedures.
6. Train new Loss Prevention personnel.
7. Confront shoplifters and apprehend them according to store policy.
8. Prepare reports and provide feedback to store management.
9. Assist in developing and implementing loss prevention strategies.
10. Monitor entrances and exits to ensure no unauthorized persons enter the store.
