Job Description

H-E-B is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team! If you are a self-starter who has an eye for detail and is passionate about preventing losses for our company, we'd love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the willingness to learn and stay up to date on loss prevention trends.To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience in loss prevention or a related field, a strong knowledge of products and the retail industry, excellent communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to be proactive in identifying and resolving potential losses. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor customer activity and store security cameras for any suspicious behavior.
  2. Investigate and document potential losses, such as shoplifting or employee theft.
  3. Create and implement strategies to reduce or prevent losses.
  4. Educate store staff on loss prevention protocols and procedures.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and track discrepancies.
  6. Write reports on loss prevention activities and present them to management.
  7. Maintain records of internal theft and external theft investigations.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement personnel.
  9. Remain knowledgeable of current loss prevention trends and techniques.
  10. Travel to various store locations as needed.
