Job Description

Are you a night owl with a passion for keeping things organized and stocked? Look no further! Harker Heights Grocery, an H-E-B store, is seeking a part-time Overnight Stocker to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is fully stocked and ready for customers each morning.   1. Stocking shelves and organizing merchandise during overnight hours to ensure the store is fully stocked and ready for customers each morning.
  2. Maintaining accurate inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  3. Ensuring all products are properly labeled and priced.
  4. Rotating products according to expiration dates and following proper food safety protocols.
  5. Unloading and organizing deliveries, restocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized backroom.
  6. Assisting customers with locating products and providing excellent customer service.
  7. Collaborating with team members to efficiently complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Following company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and dress code.
  9. Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management.
  10. Maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
  11. Communicating effectively with coworkers and managers.
  12. Adhering to a consistent work schedule and being punctual for shifts.
  13. Maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency while working independently.
  14. Continuously seeking ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  15. Completing any other tasks or projects assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In Stocking: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Have Prior Experience In A Stocking Or Inventory Management Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Grocery Store Setting. This Will Ensure They Are Familiar With The Processes And Procedures Involved In Stocking Goods And Can Quickly Adapt To The H-E-B System.

  • Physical Stamina: This Is A Physically Demanding Job That Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Products. As Such, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Perform The Job Duties For An Entire Shift Without Getting Fatigued.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Overnight Stocker, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Accurately Stocking And Organizing Merchandise On Shelves And In Displays. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Ensuring The Right Products Are Placed In The Right Location, And Inventory Levels Are Maintained.

  • Time Management Skills: This Is A Fast-Paced Job That Requires The Stocker To Work Quickly And Efficiently To Meet Tight Deadlines. A Successful Candidate Should Have Excellent Time Management Skills To Prioritize Tasks And Complete Them Within The Given Timeframe.

  • Teamwork: H-E-B Values Teamwork And Collaboration, And As An Overnight Stocker, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Other Team Members To Ensure The Store Is Well-Stocked And Organized. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential To Succeed In This Role.
