8. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, regarding product safety, pricing, and labeling.
9. Track and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and other relevant metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for action.
10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a customer-centric mindset among the general merchandise team.
11. Collaborate with vendors and negotiate pricing and terms to maximize profitability and maintain positive relationships.
12. Monitor and manage the general merchandise department budget, making sound financial decisions to meet or exceed financial goals.
