Job Description

H-E-B is seeking a dynamic and experienced Front End Manager to join our team! As the leading grocery retailer in Texas, H-E-B is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who can effectively lead a team of front end employees to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the front end department, including cashiering, bagging, and customer service.
  2. Train and guide front end employees to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and maintain front end inventory levels, including cash, store supplies, and equipment.
  4. Implement and enforce loss prevention measures to ensure the security of cash and merchandise.
  5. Develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with all front end employees.
  6. Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operations.
  7. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to front end employees.
  9. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure an overall positive shopping experience for customers.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to make necessary adjustments to front end operations.
  11. Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation standards.
  12. Monitor and analyze front end data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  13. Uphold company values and standards and promote a positive work culture.
  14. Handle any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by upper management.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Front End Manager At H-E-B Should Possess Excellent Leadership Qualities, Including The Ability To Motivate And Guide A Team, Delegate Tasks Efficiently, And Resolve Conflicts Effectively.

  • Customer Service Experience: As A Front End Manager, One Must Have Experience In Providing Exceptional Customer Service And Ensuring Customer Satisfaction. This Includes Handling Customer Complaints And Resolving Issues In A Professional And Timely Manner.

  • Knowledge Of Front End Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Front End Operations, Such As Cash Handling, Opening And Closing Procedures, And Managing Inventory. They Should Also Be Familiar With Point Of Sale (Pos) Systems And Other Technology Used In The Front End.

  • Organizational And Time Management Skills: A Front End Manager Must Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Effectively To Ensure The Smooth Operation Of The Front End. This Includes Managing Schedules, Coordinating Breaks And Shifts, And Ensuring Adequate Staffing Levels.

  • Communication Skills: Clear And Effective Communication Is Essential For A Front End Manager To Interact With Customers, Employees, And Other Departments. They Should Be Able To Communicate Expectations, Provide Feedback, And Address Concerns In A Professional And Respectful Manner.
