- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to store departments.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues or delays with orders.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and storing products.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Train and mentor new team members on proper receiving procedures and protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal departments and external vendors.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor and report any inventory shortages or overages to management.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to food quality and inventory management.
Experience In Food Service Industry: A Food Service Receiver At H-E-B Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Food Service Environment, Whether It Be In A Restaurant, Catering Company, Or Grocery Store.
Strong Organizational Skills: As A Food Service Receiver, You Will Be Responsible For Managing Inventory And Ensuring That All Orders Are Received And Stored Correctly. This Requires Excellent Organizational Skills To Keep Track Of Multiple Deliveries And Products.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations: H-E-B Takes Food Safety And Sanitation Very Seriously, And The Food Service Receiver Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations To Ensure That All Products Are Received And Stored Properly.
Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects: As A Food Service Receiver, You Will Be Responsible For Receiving And Storing Large Shipments Of Food And Supplies. This Requires The Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects, Often Up To 50 Pounds.
Attention To Detail: The Food Service Receiver Must Be Detail-Oriented To Accurately Check And Record Incoming Shipments, As Well As Ensure That All Products Are Properly Labeled And Stored. This Is Crucial To Maintaining The Quality And Safety Of The Products Sold At H-E-B.
