Job Description

At Beaumont 05 Seafood, we take pride in providing our customers with the freshest and highest quality seafood. As a Perishables Representative, you will play a vital role in maintaining this standard by ensuring that our seafood section is always fully stocked and well-organized. This part-time position at H-E-B requires a dedicated and efficient individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.   1. Maintain a fully stocked and well-organized seafood section at all times.
  2. Ensure that all seafood products are fresh and of the highest quality.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and restock products as needed.
  4. Receive and inspect seafood deliveries for quality and accuracy.
  5. Rotate and properly store products to prevent spoilage.
  6. Assist customers with their seafood selections and provide exceptional customer service.
  7. Clean and sanitize work area and equipment to maintain health and safety standards.
  8. Follow food safety protocols and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the seafood department.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge to make informed recommendations to customers.
  11. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Train and mentor new team members as needed.
  13. Participate in promotional events and assist with merchandising and displays.
  14. Comply with all company regulations and guidelines for handling and selling seafood.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In The Seafood Industry: Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience Working With Seafood Products, Whether In A Retail Setting Or In A Restaurant. This Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of Seafood Quality, Handling, And Preparation.

  • Knowledge Of Perishable Food Safety: As A Seafood Representative, It Is Important To Have A Strong Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations And Best Practices For Handling Perishable Items. This Will Help Ensure The Safety And Freshness Of The Products Being Sold.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Friendly And Approachable Demeanor, As They Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Provide Helpful Recommendations And Advice To Customers Are Also Essential.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Will Require The Ability To Stand For Long Periods Of Time, Lift Heavy Items, And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.

  • Availability To Work Flexible Hours: As A Part-Time Position, The Candidate Should Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Available To Work Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays As Needed. This Is Especially Important During Busy Seasons, Such As Holidays And Summer Months.
