  1. Oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring all tasks and duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Manage and lead a team of bakery associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  3. Create and maintain a positive and welcoming environment for both customers and employees.
  4. Ensure that all baked goods are of the highest quality and meet H-E-B's standards.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed to maintain proper stock levels.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve overall department performance.
  7. Train and mentor bakery staff on proper food handling and safety procedures.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery department, including equipment and work areas.
  9. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless and efficient store operations.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new products, making recommendations for new bakery offerings.
  11. Address any customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
  13. Manage department budget and expenses, making adjustments as needed to meet financial goals.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Bakery Operations: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Bakery, With A Deep Understanding Of Various Baking Techniques, Equipment, And Ingredient Functions.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Bakery Department Manager, You Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Bakers And Ensuring The Smooth Operation Of The Department. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Be Able To Delegate Tasks, And Effectively Communicate With Team Members.
