  1. Support Store Leader in overseeing daily operations of the store, including customer service, sales, and inventory management.
  2. Maintain a positive and welcoming store environment for customers by upholding H-E-B's high standards of customer service.
  3. Lead and motivate team members to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales goals.
  4. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve store performance and customer satisfaction.
  5. Ensure that store policies and procedures are followed and all safety and security measures are in place.
  6. Collaborate with Store Leader to create and execute plans for merchandising, promotions, and special events.
  7. Train and develop team members to promote a culture of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimize shrinkage.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and upper management to address any issues or concerns.
  10. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall success of the store.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Leadership Experience: A Successful Assistant Store Leader At H-E-B Should Have Previous Experience In A Supervisory Or Management Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Grocery Store Setting. This Experience Should Demonstrate Strong Leadership Skills, The Ability To Manage A Team, And A Track Record Of Achieving Results.

  • Knowledge Of H-E-B Operations And Policies: Familiarity With H-E-B's Operations, Policies, And Procedures Is Essential For An Assistant Store Leader. This Includes A Good Understanding Of Store Merchandising, Inventory Management, Customer Service Protocols, And H-E-B's Commitment To Quality And Service.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: An Assistant Store Leader Needs To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Customers, And Other Store Leaders. This Requires Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Build Relationships And Work Collaboratively With Others.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Abilities: The Assistant Store Leader Is Responsible For Managing Day-To-Day Operations And Handling Any Issues That May Arise. This Requires The Ability To Think Critically, Make Sound Decisions, And Solve Problems In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: Working In A Retail Environment Can Be Unpredictable And Fast-Paced. The Assistant Store Leader Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Be Flexible In Their Approach To Managing The Store. This Includes Being Able To Work A Variety Of Shifts And Being Available To Handle Any Unexpected Situations That May Arise.
