1. Develop and design new and innovative collections for the Women's department that align with the GUESS brand aesthetic and vision.
2. Stay up-to-date on current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform design decisions.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and marketing to ensure cohesive and successful product launches.
4. Create detailed sketches, technical specifications, and mock-ups for designs and communicate them effectively to manufacturers.
5. Conduct research and participate in trend forecasting to identify potential design opportunities and inspiration.
6. Attend and participate in design meetings, providing input and ideas to help drive the creative direction for GUESS.
7. Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and accurate execution of designs.
8. Review and approve samples and prototypes to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
9. Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
10. Help develop and maintain brand guidelines and standards for the Women's department.
11. Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers to help develop their skills and knowledge.
12. Contribute to the overall success of the GUESS brand by consistently delivering high-quality, trendsetting designs that resonate with our target audience.
