- Develop and implement lab planning strategies that align with Gilead's overall goals and objectives.
- Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure that lab design and construction meet industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate potential laboratory spaces and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage project timelines and budgets for lab planning and construction projects.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and efficiency in lab design and planning.
- Work closely with lab scientists and researchers to understand their needs and optimize space and resources accordingly.
- Ensure that all lab spaces are equipped with necessary equipment and resources for efficient and safe operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in lab planning and design to continuously improve Gilead's labs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of lab facilities to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor junior lab planning team members to develop a strong and efficient team.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to lab planning and construction projects.
- Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate smooth lab planning and construction processes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and innovation.
Bachelor's Degree In Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Lab Planning And Workplace Design, Preferably In A Biopharmaceutical Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Principles, Including Biosafety And Chemical Safety.
Proficiency In Cad And Other Design Software, As Well As Project Management Tools.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
