  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the oncology medical writing team in alignment with Gilead's overall objectives.
  2. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of high-quality medical documents, including clinical study reports, protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory submissions.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to the medical writing team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance, to ensure alignment and consistency in medical writing deliverables.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory guidelines related to oncology and medical writing to ensure compliance and best practices.
  6. Oversee the quality control and review process for all medical writing documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
  7. Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  8. Act as a subject matter expert in oncology and medical writing, providing guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  9. Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges related to medical writing processes and deliverables.
  10. Participate in cross-functional meetings and present medical writing updates and strategies to senior leadership.
  11. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the medical writing team.
  12. Represent Gilead and the medical writing team at external conferences and meetings as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field (Such As Pharmacology, Biology, Or Medicine) With A Strong Understanding Of Oncology And Related Therapeutic Areas.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Medical Writing, With At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Oncology Drug Development And Regulatory Submissions.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing A Team Of Medical Writers In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Global Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines Related To Medical Writing In Oncology, Including Fda And Ema Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Key Stakeholders To Develop And Execute Medical Writing Strategies For Oncology Programs.
