- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for government affairs, aligned with the overall goals and objectives of Gilead Sciences.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the government affairs team, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the government and healthcare industry, including policymakers, regulators, and advocacy groups.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact Gilead Sciences and its products.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to promote and protect the interests of Gilead Sciences and its patients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of government affairs efforts with other business functions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and other materials to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Manage the budget and resources for government affairs operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in government affairs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the government affairs team.
- Represent Gilead Sciences at external events and conferences related to government affairs.
