  1. Conduct research and development activities in the field of oncology to advance Gilead's portfolio of therapies.
  2. Utilize knowledge and experience in oncology to design and execute experiments and studies.
  3. Analyze and interpret data, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for drug development.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest scientific advancements and incorporate them into research projects.
  6. Identify potential target molecules and pathways for drug development.
  7. Lead and mentor a team of scientists and researchers.
  8. Manage research projects and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  9. Author scientific publications and present data at conferences.
  10. Coordinate with external partners and collaborators to advance research projects.
  11. Maintain a high level of scientific rigor and adhere to ethical and safety standards.
  12. Contribute to the development of new technologies and methodologies for oncology research.
  13. Participate in the evaluation and selection of new drug candidates.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert and provide scientific guidance to other teams within the company.
  15. Represent Gilead at scientific conferences and events.
  16. Contribute to the overall goals and mission of the company to improve the lives of patients with life-threatening diseases.

Job Qualifications
  • Phd In A Relevant Field Such As Oncology, Biochemistry, Or Molecular Biology.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Industry Experience In Oncology Drug Discovery And Development.

  • Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Current Trends And Developments In Oncology Research, Particularly In Areas Such As Immuno-Oncology And Targeted Therapies.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Research Findings To Senior Management.
