Job Description

Gilead Sciences is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our team and lead our IAM security efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IAM systems to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.   1. Develop and implement effective strategies for securing confidential information and protecting against cyber threats.
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to IAM security.
  3. Lead the design and implementation of IAM systems to meet the company's security needs.
  4. Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
  5. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing IAM systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions into existing systems and processes.
  7. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  8. Stay informed about emerging security threats and industry trends, and make recommendations for adapting the company's IAM strategy accordingly.
  9. Train and educate employees on IAM best practices and security protocols.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other IT teams on IAM security matters.
  11. Continuously evaluate and update IAM processes and procedures to maintain a high level of security.
  12. Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely and effective resolution of any IAM-related issues.
  13. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  14. Drive a culture of security awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Identity And Access Management (Iam) Systems – A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Iam Technologies, Including Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, Single Sign-On, And Multi-Factor Authentication. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Iam Solutions In Large Organizations.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Frameworks And Standards – The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Best Practices Related To Iam Security, Such As Nist, Iso, And Cobit. They Should Also Have Experience In Conducting Risk Assessments And Implementing Security Controls To Ensure Compliance With These Frameworks.

  • Experience With Cloud-Based Iam Solutions – Gilead Sciences Has A Significant Presence In The Cloud, And As Such, The Iam Security Architect Should Have Experience In Designing And Securing Cloud-Based Iam Solutions. This Includes Familiarity With Identity As A Service (Idaas) Providers And Cloud Access Security Brokers (Casbs).

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills – As An Iam Security Architect At Gilead Sciences, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization. Therefore, Effective Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Proven Ability To Lead And Manage Projects – Gilead Sciences Is A Fast-Paced Organization, And The Iam Security Architect Will Be Expected To Lead And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Iam Projects On Time And Within Budget, While Also Managing Project Teams And Stakeholders Effectively.
