- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent to GWU, including but not limited to advertising, sourcing, and networking.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and departments to understand their recruitment needs and create job descriptions that accurately reflect the requirements and qualifications for open positions.
- Utilize various recruitment platforms and tools to proactively identify and engage with potential candidates.
- Build and maintain relationships with external organizations, universities, and other sources to expand our recruitment reach and promote GWU as an employer of choice.
- Review and screen resumes and applications, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and make recommendations for qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial contact to offer acceptance, ensuring a positive candidate experience and timely communication throughout.
- Participate in job fairs, career events, and other recruitment activities to promote GWU and attract top talent.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for recruitment, including diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment to continuously improve the university's recruitment efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and metrics to track recruitment progress and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Represent GWU as a brand ambassador, promoting our values and mission to potential candidates.
- Mentor and train junior members of the recruitment team.
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all recruitment activities.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
5+ Years Of Experience In Recruitment And Talent Acquisition, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Employment Law And Regulations, Including Eeo And Ada.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Diverse Stakeholders.
Experience With Applicant Tracking Systems And Other Recruitment Software.
