  1. Provide administrative support to the academic department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining departmental records.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for faculty, students, and staff, responding to inquiries and providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  3. Plan and organize department events, such as seminars, workshops, and conferences, ensuring their success through effective communication and coordination.
  4. Manage department budgets and financial transactions, tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and university offices to facilitate smooth operations and promote cross-departmental initiatives.
  6. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new faculty and staff, including preparing hiring documents, coordinating orientation, and providing necessary support.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of faculty and student information, course schedules, and academic policies and procedures.
  8. Coordinate departmental communication and disseminate important information to faculty, students, and staff through various channels, including email, newsletters, and social media.
  9. Support the department chair and faculty in various administrative tasks, such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and managing course materials.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline departmental processes and procedures, identifying areas for efficiency and implementing solutions.
  11. Stay updated on university policies and procedures related to academic departments and ensure compliance within the department.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of the university and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  13. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  14. Adhere to confidentiality and security protocols when handling sensitive information.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the department chair or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Academic Administration, Preferably At A University Setting.

  • A Master's Degree In Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Leadership And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Prioritize Multiple Tasks And Projects.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Faculty, Staff, Students, And External Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Academic Policies, Procedures, And Regulations, As Well As Experience With Budget Management And Financial Reporting.
