- Implement and maintain automated systems in the warehouse to ensure efficient and seamless operations.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise with the automated systems.
- Regularly inspect and maintain the automated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve and optimize the warehouse automation processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in warehouse automation and make recommendations for implementation.
- Train and mentor other warehouse staff on the proper use and maintenance of the automated systems.
- Monitor and analyze data from the automated systems to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while operating and maintaining the automated systems.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments to provide updates on the status of the warehouse automation systems.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the maintenance and operation of the automated systems.
Technical Skills And Knowledge: The Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Warehouse Automation Systems And Equipment, Such As Automated Storage And Retrieval Systems, Conveyors, And Robotics. They Should Also Have Experience With Troubleshooting And Maintenance Of These Systems.
Electrical And Mechanical Expertise: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Solid Background In Both Electrical And Mechanical Engineering, With The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Schematics. They Should Also Be Skilled In Using Basic Hand And Power Tools For Maintenance And Repair Tasks.
Experience With Plc Programming: As A Warehouse Automation Technician, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Programming And Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs). Therefore, Prior Experience With Plc Programming And Troubleshooting Is Essential.
Safety And Compliance Knowledge: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations In A Warehouse Environment, As Well As Knowledge Of Compliance Standards For Automated Systems. This Includes Knowledge Of Lockout/Tagout Procedures, Osha Regulations, And Nfpa Standards.
Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of A Larger Warehouse Operations Team, The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Other Team Members, As Well As With Outside Vendors And Suppliers. They Should Also Have Strong Teamwork Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues.
